I’m a fine art wedding photographer based out of one of the best cities ever, Austin, Texas! I've been married to my handsome husband Alex for the past ten years and together we have two gorgeous girls, Olive and Penny. They keep us on our toes.

When you work with me I’m ALL IN. I want to be friends with you, I want to laugh with you, I want to mildly stalk you on social media.

welcome!

Kayla + Dylan

I am so thrilled to be sharing the beautiful wedding day of Kayla and Dylan. These two sweethearts are so gracious and so wonderful to photograph. Their love for one another is so evident and obvious and man are they adorable. Kayla literally could not be more cute, her words and actions towards those around elicit hugs and lots of blushing. They’re a joy! This duo currently lives in El Paso, Texas and I’m so thrilled they decided to travel to Austin to say “I do.”

I first met the couple together at their engagement session months before their wedding. It was a beautiful evening with the best light the hill country had to offer and it was so nice and warm out, only an hour after we were done it started raining. We really lucked out. Their gorgeous wedding day was also sunny but OMG was it COLD. Bone chilling, teeth chattering cold. It was the type of cold that when you experience it you spend the next several hours under a blanket, by a fire, and sipping hot cocoa to will away the chill. It was December 18th, the day before there were highs in the high 70s, then the Arctic Blast moved across the country the evening of the 17th and we woke up to 20 degrees and powerful winds. I must say, I was a bit weary driving out to the venue, it seemed the further we got away from Austin and into Dripping Springs the windier it became. I had no idea if we would be able to take any photos outside based on the couple’s willingness to endure the cold. I was sure we’d have to rely on a Plan B option for some photos.

Boy was I wrong. Kayla and Dylan didn’t even entertain not taking the photos outside, they wanted gorgeous photos in natural light and if they had to stand out in the frigid temps to get them then that was just what they were going to do. We took about three breaks within the 1.5 hours we photographed portraits but Kayla stood outside in her wedding dress with no sleeves for an hour and a half and smiled the whole time…THE. WHOLE. TIME. I was amazed by her courage. Yes, courage. It takes courage to endure that type of unpleasantness. Dylan kept her warm with giant bear hugs and lots of kisses throughout the entire process. It all came together beautifully!
