I fell in love with Sarah and Jesse when I first met and worked with them back in August 2018. They were in Austin from Houston for their engagement session, Sarah had her hair done specifically for event! When we were driving to meet on Austin’s east side the skies opened up and the heavens dropped buckets of rain on all of Austin. I remember crawling through traffic downtown, my windshield wipers barely able to keep up with the amount of water pouring down and hoping it’d end soon. The rain continued to pour down for at least the next 45 minutes so we found a cool coffee shop and I got to know this wonderful duo who love to travel, eat delicious food, watch their favorite sports teams play and who I could tell adored the other person with all their heart!!! They never spoke of rescheduling, never whined or complained…they were all smiles. And the weather gods were keeping score because it turned into the most beautiful evening and we even had sunshine!!!
Fast forward seven months later and it’s Sarah and Jesse’s wedding day at the gorgeous Prospect House in Dripping Springs, Texas. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, it was the most beautiful day to have a wedding! And I don’t say that lightly, I take my weather seriously and it really was perfection outside. From the moment I stepped inside the doors of Prospect House I knew it was going to be the most heartfelt and fun day. Sarah greeted me immediately with smiles and open arms…Jesse did the same moments later. I could feel the love immediately. I adore being able to meet the families of the wonderful couples I work with. It becomes so evident where Sarah and Jesse come from when you meet their warm and inviting families. Everyone treated me like a fast friend from the get go and I was smitten.
I would be remiss to not go into depth about Sarah and Jesse’s emotional and important Jewish ceremony. Rabbi Lev captivated us all with his words of wisdom and spirituality. I’ve photographed hundreds of wedding ceremonies and this one in particular effected me and every soul present in a profound way. Near its closing all guests were invited to surround Sarah and Jesse and place their hand on the shoulders of the people around them. I had tears in my eyes as guests did the same for me. We did this to form a community of love and support around the new couple. We all felt the love and then we all cheered “Mazel Tov” as they kissed and Jesse smashed the glass. Truly perfect!
All the love and congratulations to this beautiful couple, two amazing humans who found one another and joined forces! I love this couple so so so very much!!! xoxoxo
