It’s the small moments I remember most when capturing wedding day memories for my couples. Moments we didn’t plan for or orchestrate, those pure and spontaneous ones that happen all by themselves and make those who experience them beam with joy. During Madison and Levi’s first look their baby Hudson crawled straight towards them from where he was perched with the best seat in the house, he wanted his mama! Madison knelt down so elegantly in her gorgeous gown and he used her to stand and they had the sweetest nuzzling/cuddle session. A handful of seconds later their oldest son came running over to dad where his bow tie was tied with expert care, it was seriously my favorite moment from their entire day. It was so pure. Fantastic parents who are so in love and gracefully spreading that love to their boys. They didn’t tell another family member to take them away and for someone else to do it, they did it themselves and it was precious. They were momming and dadding SO HARD, their boys are so lucky to have them as parents.
Madison warned me at their engagement session that they had a “Big Crazy Family” and I said “Bring it on!!!!” Wedding days with animated family members are always my favorite. Madison has SO MANY sisters and they were all there in bridesmaid dresses, so many inside jokes, so many belly laughs. It was a riot listening to everyone give each other a hard time, nobody had hurt feelings, everyone was just having a good time and were so happy to be witnessing Madison and Levi’s happy day. You can always tell when a couple has already experienced a great deal of life events and they truly know what’s important, their love for one another, their health and their family. Literally nothing else matters. When the small hiccups occur during the day (and they always do), it rolls off their backs and they smile instead of letting it get the best of them. Everyone can take a lesson from Madison and Levi, do not sweat the small stuff!!
I loved capturing these gorgeous memories at the beautiful Ma Maison set in the Texas hill country. Everything was so elegant, yet approachable. Madison and her family did the flowers themselves and I loved the cheerful sunflowers they chose. It was perfect.
Dear Madison and Levi,
I loved y’all since the very beginning when we had a blast at your engagement session. Y’all are always smiling and being silly around one another. Never stop cracking jokes, never take life too seriously and never stop loving on those sweet boys you have, xoxo!!! ~ Eryn
