I don’t know where to begin with these two. I’ll start by saying that I’m so so so glad Rita and Ryan found me to photograph all their memories. I first met this duo for their engagement session at McKinney Falls State Park back in December 2015. I immediatley liked them, Ryan is a zealous go-getter with such a positive attitude and Rita is a thoughtful and kind soul, I could tell she was a good listener right from the start. I loved getting to know them before their big day. If you’re interested take a look at their epic engagement session here and Rita’s GORGEOUS bridal session here.
Their wedding was so special and such a wonderful reflection of their personalities. They were married on Rita’s family’s lake front property in Spicewood, Texas. The grounds were funky and engulfed in nature, the view of the lake in the distance wasn’t bad either 🙂 It was the small touches that set this wedding apart, from the boho chuppah decorated with sunflowers to the succulent wall art surrounding framed prints of the couple by their cake table to the wildflower floral displays everywhere and finally to the three food trucks that pulled up from downtown Austin at their cocktail hour. Everyone was swooning over how freakin’ cool it all was. I love these photos…they tell such a beautiful story. Come see!
After their sparkler exit Ryan and Rita retreated to their dock where they hopped into a canoe and paddled into the distance to set free a Chinese fire lantern. Their closest friends and family did the same from the dock. It was all pretty magical. Congratulations to the happy couple, I hope y’all had the most incredible honeymoon in New Zealand!!
