Where do I even begin with this couple?! There’s history here ya see!! I grew up with Lauren, I have distinct childhood memories with her in them. We both went to the same elementary school, middle school, and then eventually high school. Lauren and I were even in the same carpool when we played soccer together. And ya know what, through all those transitions and all that growth I never once didn’t like her, haha. But really, there was never a moment I didn’t think of her as kind, generous, bubbly, and full of so much laughter. When I think of Lauren I think of her being tall, being an outstanding athlete and her always having a smile on her face.
Lauren contacted me months and months ago when her and Dave got engaged and we set up a consultation to meet up. I hadn’t met Dave yet and I liked him as soon as we shook hands. I could tell he had a warm soul and a kind heart and he looks at Lauren with so much love and admiration in his eyes. So much ooey gooeyness I’m writing here, I know Lauren and Dave may cringe when they read this but I have to put this out there.
If you’ve ever been a client of mine you’ll know that when I go to a consultation I’ll bring along an album or two for couples to look through during the meeting. When I took my white, leather album out of the box to show the couple Dave immediately jumped up, grabbed a handful of napkins and came back to the table to wipe it down to make sure my album wouldn’t get dirty. LOL. You have may forgotten that Dave, but I didn’t, I really appreciated it!
I met up with Lauren and Dave back in the fall when it was very much so warm outside. We started out over on Austin’s east side to capture them in front of some funky murals and a bit of a cityscape. Then we ended the day at Austin’s boardwalk, it was very important to Lauren especially for Austin to play a big role in the session, I think we suceeded!!
I’m so excited for Lauren and Dave’s Camp Lucy wedding this coming March.
