Meet Julia and James everybody!!! These two brave souls met up with me at the crack of dawn in early January when it was only 18 degrees outside! Our teeth were chattering and we could see our breath for days but that didn’t stop us from being some of the first souls to cavort around South Congress in downtown Austin that morning. We started the session on the Congress bridge right when the sun started to peek over the horizon. It was wonderful to be able to have them out in the middle of the street and not worry about traffic…sunrise sessions are where it’s at y’all. We headed south along South Congress Avenue after that and warmed up at a donut shop and the cute TOMS Austin storefront where the couple enjoyed the most adorable cup of coffee there ever was.
Julia and James met while they were both attending undergrad at UT Austin. While we were enjoying coffee during the session James pulled out his phone to show me the video of him proposing to Julia. It was on her birthday and he surprised her at a local coffee shop with all their friends as witness. When she stepped inside he greeted her while playing the ukele and serenading her. At the end he went down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with him. I have to admit, I got a little choked up watching it and it made me adore the duo just that much more. So. Much. Sweetness!!!
I’m so excited for their downtown wedding at The Allan House in May of this year.
