Kelsey and Misha’s winter wedding was our first of 2017. After NYE I enjoyed almost two full months of no weddings and playing catch up from 2016. I was refreshed, inspired, and ready to get out there and capture Kelsey and Misha’s wedding day perfectly.
Kelsey and Misha chose the lovely and breathtaking Chapel Dulcinea nestled amongst the Texas hill country in Dripping Springs, Texas. It really is a sight to behold, the stone and wood chapel that is open to the elements and the sweeping view make for an astonishing place to say “I do.” There to share the memories with them that day were their family members and closest friends. Misha’s family is from Russia and the couple’s reception was chalk full of quirky and fun Russian traditions. We learned so much that night and there was no shortage of laughter or joy.
My favorite of the traditions was when Misha’s sister had five women (including the bride) sit in chairs in a row, the groom was then blind folded and he had to kneel and give each woman a mini foot massage in order to distinguish which one was his bride. I was a bit nervous for him but there was no reason to be, he was able to tell which foot belonged to Kelsey without hesitation. True love my friends, true love.
Thank you so much Kelsey and Misha for having us along for your big day. We adored your dry and witty sense of humor and wish you both the best in life together. Have so much fun on your honeymoon in Peru…Imma a tiny bit jealous.
