I had been anticipating Maureen (Mo) and Drew’s wedding for almost a year. Mo is my beloved cousin and hails from the Dallas area and she called me the week her and Drew became engaged and asked Alex and I to photograph their big day. So much planning and love was poured into Mo and Drew’s wedding day and it was such an amazing celebration of family and joy. Mo and Drew met while working on the McKinney Police force together and there were many nods to their life of service incorporated into their big day.
Did I mention it was a St. Paddy’s Day wedding? It was a first for me but we loved all the shamrock and green touches, so festive and fun. Mo and Drew chose March 17th as their wedding date as a nod to Mo’s late father Glenn, my dear uncle. We lost him unexpectantly almost a year and a half ago and we all miss him so so so much. Everyone was aching a little bit more that day because we all know how giddy and joyful he’d be on Maureen’s wedding day. While he wasn’t there physically he was with us in spirit and we spoke of him and remembered him that much more on this special day.
Thanks a million Mo and Drew for having us capture your wedding day memories, we are so honored! Have so much fun in the Caribbean this week.
