Nikki + Todd

Happy Wednesday friends! I’m so excited for this new year and this fresh start it always seems like we’re getting with the changing of the year. Out with the old and in with the new. I always feel like I have some extra pep in my step and a bit of rejuvenation. That being said, one of my resolutions for this new year is to blog more often and stay more on top of blogging just a few weeks after a wedding. I still am blogging weddings from October (whoops) and it’s not like I can skip ahead and just start blogging all the new and great stuff from 2017…these weddings are too beautiful to skip. I must and HAVE to share them with you all. I owe it to you, haha.

That being said, let’s journey back to mid-October of 2016 to when Nikki and Todd exchanged vows beneath a beautiful oak tree at Rustic Ranch in Wimberley, Texas. It was mine and Alex’s very first time photographing at this gorgeous venue and I hope it’s not the last. There were so many great nooks and crannies for gorgeous photos. Never a bad thing when you’re literally grabbing thousands of photos on a couple’s wedding day. The inspiration never seemed to run out…

Nikki and Todd met while living in Dallas and these two are just so in love with one another. It was evident how much they cared for each other and just how grateful they both were the other came into their lives. I adored watching Todd gaze at Nikki throughout the evening. Swoon. This couple was ready to celebrate on their wedding day too, from what I gathered it had been a hectic couple of weeks leading up to the wedding. Todd even ran in the Chicago marathon the weekend before they said “I do” while Nikki navigated the race route to cheer him on. But everything came together and there was an epic dance party that followed that night.

Dear Nikki and Todd, thank you so much for inviting us to share in the joy and capture your beautiful wedding day memories. It means the world to us when our clients trust us and have complete faith in our work. We loved learning about your love story and the time Todd took Nikki to a steak house on your first date not realizing she was a vegetarian. Smooches to you both, we wish you all the happiness in the world.
