From the moment I met Janelle and Brandon I was able to connect with them. Together they share a warmth and a kindness, a curiosity for life. We all chatted over our joint love for adventure and traveling. I liked them so much that I got very sad that I wouldn’t be sharing in the joy on their wedding day as well. These two are hiking to the top of a mountain in Canada very very soon to exchange vows with their closest friends and family looking on. I told you they were adventurous!!!
I follow Janelle on Instagram and she posts insane photos of things like swimming with great white sharks in Cape Town, elephants on safari, and “finding mountain tops” in El Paso, it really only makes sense that these two adventure seekers climb a mountain on their wedding day too 🙂
I loved the story they told me about when Brandon proposed. He flew to Hawaii, where Janelle is from and where she was visiting family. The entire time he was in contact with her family there so they could help him plan a delightful surprise they’d both never forget. Brandon ended up hiding along a hiking trail at a specific scenic spot, Janelle was on a hike with her family that day and her dad tried to get her to wander closer to the scenic lookout where Brandon was hiding behind a rock by saying “I think I see whales over there!” Brandon popped out and got down on one knee. Janelle was so shocked she simply said, “Um, what are you doing here?!” LOL. Don’t worry, she said YES and her dad snapped an amazing photo to prove it!!
Congratulations Janelle and Brandon for finding such intrepid and fun-loving partners in one another. I’m so happy for you both!!
