Beth + John

Wedding

Oh this wedding. I love intimate and joyful affairs like this one. I first met Beth and John back in December at an Einstein’s Bagels, right off the bat I knew they were a genuine and sweet couple and that they were ALL SMILES all the time. John, you pretty much smile all the time and I love it. I’m not sure if it’s out of nerves or maybe I’m the weirdest person you’ve ever met and all you can do is smile and laugh at me. Whatever it is, I’m so thankful for all the smiling and the laughter while I photographed you two lovebirds!!

I met up with Beth and John again for their sweet engagement session on the UT campus where the couple received their PhD’s in Chemistry. Two doctor scientists, I think that’s their official titles btw, tee hee.

Their wedding was at the scenic and beautiful Omni Barton Creek Resort. The day was so classically beautiful with simple and elegant touches. I was obsessed with their yellow, white, and navy color palette and beautiful florals by the lovely Katie at Little Yellow Flower Design. Beth and John exchanged vows before their closest friends and family members and it was ever so sweet. Their words to one another were tender and sincere, we were all moved and grateful to witness all that love.

Heads up, the light during their ceremony was pretty much perfect AND I loved what the gentle breeze was doing with Beth’s veil, I included a lot of their vow exchange. They’re all too good not to 🙂

This was also my very first get away golf cart. Beth and John’s sister-in-law decorated this for them and it was so utterly perfect. John is very into homebrew, hence the hop references and empty beer cans. His boutonniere was also made of dried hops Beth found on etsy, SO COOL! The man driving their getaway golf cart was so nice, while snapping photos of it I learned he had recently moved here from Iraq with his family, he was fascinating to talk to. Oh my job, I meet so many walks of life 😉

So much congratulations to the happy couple. I’m so flattered you chose me to capture your wedding day memories. Thank you thank you for making me feel right at home and for honoring my craft! I am also forever grateful for you both pulling me aside during your reception to talk about Game of Thrones and all the craziness that was going down this past season 😉
