I just love a Sunday wedding, to me it usually means a laid back affair where a couple exchanges vows in front of their closest friends and family. Low key and intimate, special and heartfelt. Brittany and Bryan’s lovely wedding day in mid-October was just that and then some. Everybody was truly overjoyed for this couple to come together and express their love for one another. Brittany and Bryan met years back via Tumblr, a blogging website that’s been popular for over a decade. They were able to get to know one another fairly well based on their posts and reblogs and then one day they met for a meal and the rest is history. A story told during the speeches at their reception was how when there was particularly bad weather one weekend and residents were urged to stay indoors and off roads, Brittany and Bryan casually enjoyed a Mario Kart tournament while the outside world worried about the impending doom the meterologists predicted. Ever calm and collected, it’s very evident when first meeting these two that they’re grounded and down-to-earth individuals.
Bryan and Brittany chose the always beautiful Allan House in downtown Austin for their charming nuptials. The vast oak trees and old-world charm of the mansion were the perfect backdrop to their sincere vows to one another. And boy oh boy does the Allan House photograph well, I’m always a huge fan of the white-washed walls on the inside, the outside balconies, and the stoic columns. Brittany’s GORGEOUS vintage styled gown set the tone for the day with its delicate details. Her gown paired perfectly with the peach peonies and baby’s breath bouquets. Everyone enjoyed delicious vegetarian appetizers and a mac ‘n’ cheese bar that had a long line of hungry visitors! It was a wonderful night and a great time had by all, congratulations again Bryan and Brittany! I was so honored to capture your memories, xo.
