It was such an honor and a joy to work with Lauren and Chris throughout their wedding process. I was lucky enough to book them early, have multiple interactions with them via phone and email, photograph their engagement photos, bridal portraits AND their gorgeous wedding day of course. I couldn’t have hand picked a kinder and easier duo to work with. Both Chris and Lauren snuck into the room where the vendors were eating dinner to make sure we were fed and had everything we needed…so nice of them and unexpected.
One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is having an inside look at a couple’s family and friends on the day of. There’s so much hustle and bustle and of course…happiness. Everyone had huge smiles on their faces and were there for Chris and Lauren in any capacity that was needed. It was evident that Chris and Lauren came from good people from the company they kept. Everyone was just so nice!
Lauren and Chris met while both of them were studying for their law degrees at the University of Texas in Austin. Many people that day spoke about how each of them were waiting for that perfect person to waltz into their lives to make the other complete, and they both found that person in each other. It was especially touching watching Chris’s brother Matt give his best man speech while fighting back tears. Matt told the couple that they were the best example to him for what a healthy and nurturing relationship was, it was all very heartfelt and emotional.
The dance floor at their wedding was hopping from start to finish, everyone was ready to have a good time and to get down, including grandparents on both sides. I loved watching Lauren’s grandmother frolick around the dance floor with her great-granddaughter. To close the incredible evening Lauren and Chris walked hand in hand beneath a magical canopy of sparklers. The happy couple left for Disney World the following Monday and I dare say they’re having a joyful time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
