Courtney + Chris + Baby Girl – May 21, 2011

Maternity

Let me just start out by saying that Alex and I were so honored to shoot Courtney and Chris’s maternity session this past Saturday. Courtney is one of my oldest friends, ever since she helped me open a cabinet in our preschool’s PlaySkool kitchen set. Before we get started with the photographs that we’re so proud of here’s a blast from the past.

Courtney and me at a soccer game circa 1991 (I think).

Alright, on to present day…Courtney and Chris are expecting their first child (a baby girl) on July 2nd. Just a month and some change to go.

Um…Hot Mama! Courtney looks fabulous at just over 7 months pregnant. She’s one of the most athletic people I know and has continued to workout regularly throughout the entire pregnancy.

As you can see from the old school photo I included, Courtney has been playing soccer for a really long time. And Chris is no exception, right after the shoot wrapped they headed to one of Chris’s soccer games.

Ladies and Gentlemen, she’s still got it.

These two aren’t fun…at all. Anytime we’re able to laugh on a shoot we feel incredibly lucky to do what we do.

Meet Courtney and Chris’s four legged children, Ally and Chuy.

This. Is. Hysterical.

After wrapping up at their beautiful casa we hopped in the car and drove 10 minutes north to charming Georgetown, Texas…a first for us as far as locations go. It did not disappoint.

These next few were taken in an outdoor, neglected courtyard behind an antique shop on the town square. When I asked the storeowners if we could go behind their store to take these photos the lady asked “Why would you wanna take photos out there?” Because I knew they’d turn out amazing.

Upon leaving the antique shop the storeowner turned into a tour guide and told us of this fantastic alley way seen below. Thank Youuu, what a find.

This next indoor/outdoor antique shop was kind of a gold mine as far as photos go. Courtney and Chris love this type of stuff so they were almost as thrilled as we were.

These next few were taken outside of the old county jail…it’s amazing the history the locals were able to tell us about its past inmates. Have I mentioned how much I love Georgetown?

Courtney and Chris, thank you so much for this amazing opportunity. Alex and I are so excited to meet the newest addition to your family very very soon.

I can’t thank you guys enough for these! I hadn’t even though about wanting maternity photos until you mentioned it and now I know these will be kept forever! Now I just have to choose which one I want to get framed for her room!!!!! Love the first photo of us in the throw back days too…man were we cute! We should make a special note for the awesome shorts in the background that I am pretty sure are my mom’s…amazing!

Courtney, you’re so welcome…it was our pleasure! I think you should wallpaper your entire house with these. And I know for a fact that those are your mom’s awesome shorts and matching socks!
