I first met Julia and James at their engagement session about 5 months before their wedding day. It was early January and the coldest weekend I can remember having in Austin, Texas in a long LONG time. To make things colder, I met Julia and James at sunrise that day, tee hee. I do believe my phone said it was 18 degrees when I parked the car and Julia and James emerged from theirs looking oh so stylish in their wintry, engagement photo taking attire. We all braved the cold that morning and it was #worthit. The photos were gorgeous and there wasn’t an ounce of complaining from either one of them. We were on Austin’s famous South Congress stretch and we’d take photos outside for a stretch and pop into donut shops and picturesque cafes to warm up and take more photos of the adorable couple thawing out and enjoying warm beverages.
Julia and James said “I Do” on May 12th at the classically beautiful Central Christian Church in downtown Austin, the reception that followed was merely a block away at the gorgeous Allan House. I always can spot a UT alum couple, they’re always the ones with the classic, downtown Austin weddings and I love them oh so much.
On the morning of their wedding Julia seriously injured her toe but pressed forward and didn’t let this injury get in the way of one of the happiest days of her life. Her bridesmaids and best girlfriends expertly duct taped her foot to a yoga block so it’d be the same height as her stylish royal blue pump on the other foot. It was a hilarious contraption but man did it work wonders. Julia was still able to walk down the aisle and dance the night away afterwards.
Thanks again Julia and James for being such dreamboat clients and trusting me every step of the way. All the smooches, XOXO.
