Photographing Katie and Lance’s wedding was such an honor. What am I saying?! It’s always an honor photographing a couple’s big day but even more so for us this time around since these two rearranged their date just so they could book us on a Saturday in April when we were available. It was truly humbling. On top of all that, Katie was a lovely bridesmaid at a wedding we had photographed a year and a half prior for her charming and beautiful friend Jessi. It was one of our favorite weddings ever and knowing that we’d see this group of girls yet again on a truly special day had us feeling all giddy inside.

Katie and Lance have a deep passion for the outdoors, both of them enjoy fishing, hunting, and anything that gets you outdoors and the sun on your face. One of the true standouts of the day was when Katie fastened fishing lures to the guys’ bouttoniers. It was an adorable touch and I loved photographing them and every other gorgeous detail that made this already beautiful wedding more lovely. The flowers, the place settings, the cake, and OMG Katie’s dress and entire look…everything was beyond perfect and our cameras were in love. These two lovebirds exchanged vows at the ever gorgeous Paniolo Ranch in Boerne, Texas. It was a remote, yet breathtaking venue nestled deep within Texas’s hill country. The sun was shining and the wind was blowing HARD. Every wedding needs an event that leaves guests and family members talking for years to come, I believe that one of those events at Katie and Lance’s wedding will be the choreography that day between the wind and Katie’s full length, cathedral veil. It was a vision and she handled it with so much grace and humor.
