This past Saturday Alex and I had the pleasure of meeting up with Joselyn and Greg for their engagement shoot. The pair of us had actually never met before. Months ago Alex and I donated a photography package to an HRC event. Joselyn and Greg bid on that package and voila! Just another reason I love doing what we do. The evening began at Gourdough’s, the site of the proposal and yummy donuts.
Somehow these two managed to feed each other the famed Funky Monkey and look fabulous at the same time.
After polishing off the delicious donuts it was off to Pfluger Bridge, a pedestrian bridge that stretches over Lady Bird Lake. This bridge is one of 15 sites of “Play Me, I’m Yours,” a traveling art project encouraging city dwellers to stop in the middle of their daily routine and play a piano. It’s very cool! We decided to take full advantage of this…
Greg is a regular Stevie Wonder, trust me.
Luckily, Joselyn’s brother Bruce tagged along for the shoot and let us borrow his skate board for a series of shots.
Next we had a quick outfit change and cruised over to South Congress. Unfortunately, none of us were aware that the Austin Hot Rod Show was in full swing. The entire area was swarmed with thousands of people and sexy hot rods. But hello, HOT RODS…we chose to see it as a blessing in disguise. But before we took pictures with vintage cars we needed to take advantage of everything else SoCo has to offer.
Are these two not gorgeous? They made our job really easy.
Brightly colored walls, yes please.
This next one is one of my favorites!
Alright, now it’s time for the fabulous hot rod photos. While we were shooting these next few a passerby asked if we were taking these for a magazine. Why yes, the magazine is called “Hot Cars and Hot People.”
This next one was all Greg’s idea, I love it.
Joselyn and Greg it was so great to meet you both, thanks so much for bidding on our photography package. We had a blast!
